France Coast - Avranches to the Loire Valley

Avranches was made famous by the passage through here of General Patton's troops, known as the Avranches breakthrough. It was the prelude to the Liberation of France. Well so our brochure said anyway! Crossing the road here was very tricky as cars seem to go everywhere.
